“Discourses of Crisis: Language, Communication and Culture in Times of Polycrisis”
The Department of Specialised Languages and Intercultural Communication, University of Lodz (Poland), is pleased to invite scholars and researchers to participate in the international online scientific conference DISKUR 2026, which will take place on 22–23 September 2026 via the MS Teams platform.
The conference is devoted to the analysis of crisis discourses in the context of contemporary multiple global challenges. The thematic scope includes specialised languages, media representations, securitization narratives, disinformation, and the ethics of crisis communication.

Conference Fees (Online Participation)
- Participants from Poland: Regular fee: 250 PLN; MA/PhD students: 200 PLN
- Participants from other countries: Regular fee: 70 EUR; MA/PhD students: 50 EUR
Post-Conference Publications: Selected papers presented at the conference will be considered for publication in peer-reviewed edited volumes and special thematic issues of academic journals. The language of publication is English.
