The International Centre for Phraseological and Paremiological Research (ICPPR) at the Philological Department of the University of Bialystok in Poland organises International symposia Dialogue on Phraseology (IDP). The main goal of the initiative is to contribute significantly to the study of phraseology and paremiology as well as to ensure international
collaboration among scholars representing these fields.
This year, we are pleased to announce the call for papers for the 12th IDP Symposium which will be held on 14th April 2023. The symposium is co-organised by University of Bialystok, Poland and University of Slavonski Brod, Department of Social Sciences and Humanities, Croatia.
The special theme of the symposium is Creativity, Interdiscursivity, Multimodality: Lexis, Phraseology and Beyond. The event aims to focus the attention of all scholars from different disciplinary backgrounds, particularly those representing various research areas connected with multimodality and language. In particular, it addresses those interested in how lexis,
phraseology and proverbs reflect the constant changes occurring in today’s world.
The symposium will be held online and the participation is free of charge. The deadline for sending abstracts is March 20, 2023. The abstract should be within the range 200-250 words, followed by five key words and up to five references. Please send your proposal to the following email address: idps2023@unisb.hr.
The symposium languages include Croatian, English and Polish. In case you would like present in another language, please contact the organisers.
As no conference proceedings are planned, all participants are kindly advised to submit their papers to the linguistic journals published at the University of Bialystok or “Marsonia.
