ESP – online workshops for students of technical disciplines

The Faculty of Technical Sciences of the University of Novi Sad and the US Embassy in Belgrade organize free online workshops for students of technical colleges: English for Specific Purposes (ESP) – a Bridge Between the Classroom and the Workplace

The students from Croatian universities are also invited. The priority will be given to final-year students of technical disciplines with solid knowledge in the English language (B1 level and above). Workshops will be held twice a week from October 26, 2020 to April 26, 2021 via the Zoom app, and the official language is English. The number of participants is limited, so encourage students to apply as early as possible.

Each workshop will focus on one of the following topics: ESP globally, learning new vocabulary, writing in ESP, speaking confidently, improving reading skills, culture in business, how to avoid grammar mistakes. There will be two workshops dedicated entirely to practical tasks.

The program will be held by prof. Vesna Bogdanović, Ph.D., an associate professor in English for Specific Purposes, and Dragana Gak, Ph.D., a senior lecturer in English for Specific Purposes, from the Faculty of Technical Sciences. Workshops will be visited by guest lecturers from the US university, while the observers will be teachers from other universities, including Višnja Kabalin Borenić, PhD,  from the Faculty of Economics, University of Zagreb.
